Designed to provide crews with a safe working environment, while dealing with crossing and existing utilities, the MOD Sheeting Guide System also allows for the use of rubber-tired backhoes.
A component aluminum trench shield, built off of the MOD Series, the MOD Sheeting Guide System incorporates aluminum sheet pile, sheet stoppers, and corner post to provide crews with the safe working environment they require.
Specially designed steel corner posts, used in conjunction with the MOD Sheeting Guide Panels allow up to 4' of clearance from the bottom of the panel to the bottom of the excavation. Meaning a two foot tall post and MOD Sheeting Guide panel can provide six feet of protection!
This unique, versatile, aluminum trench box system can be used in 2-, 3-, and 4-sided configurations.

Lightweight 2-foot high aluminum panels are easily unloaded from a pickup truck by hand without the use of machines. No lifting is equipment needed.
To begin assembling the shield, two corner end-posts are pinned to side panels and rear panel.
Side and rear panels are stacked to desired height.
Corner end-posts are pinned in place.
Adjustable spreaders pin securely in place to complete a 3-sided shield.
Mod Series trench shields (trench boxes) are easily handled by a rubber-tired backhoe loader.
Combining the best of steel trench boxes and aluminum trench shields, the Steel Framed Aluminum Trench Shield enables smaller machines (rubber tired backhoes, small excavators) to be used by contractors, municipalities, utility companies, and anyone operating smaller machines, yet requiring a strong, durable trench box.
The Steel Framed Aluminum Trench Shields from Pro-Tec Equipment are designed to use common, 5" sch. 80 spreader pipe and are available in 4" thick sidewalls.
