Pro-Tec is happy to introduce to you our Rail Post!  These Rail Post meet California OSHA and Federal OSHA standards for hand rails.
The Rail Post come in two parts, the Post and the saddle.  The saddles come in 4” sizes work on slide rail panels.
The Post are able to accept 2” x 4” pieces of wood (Not supplied by Pro-Tec). 
Along with increasing the safety of a job site, our Rail Post will also save the contractor time when compared to setting up snow or safety fencing around the excavation.

O.S.H.A. Bits

• Shield systems shall not be subjected to loads exceeding those which the system was designed to withstand.
• Employees shall be protected from the hazard of cave-ins when entering or exiting the areas protected by shields.
• Employees shall not be allowed in shields when shields are being installed, removed or moved vertically.

Protective systems are required for excavations of 5’ or deeper, excavations less than 5’ shall be protected if hazardous movement may be expected.

Here are the results:  65% comes from Sewer\Water, 11% comes from Municipalities, 10% comes from Tank installations, 7% from Gas Transmissions, 6% from Industrial and 1% from others.
